The United States Naval Academy Alumni Association and Foundation in Annapolis, Maryland is looking to hire a full-time Donor Engagement & Strategic Partnerships (DE&SP) Summer Intern to join the Donor Engagement & Strategic Partnerships (DE&SP) Team.


The Donor Engagement & Strategic Partnerships Team includes the following aspects of the Development Team:

  • Donor Relations & Stewardship
  • Corporate & Foundation Relations
  • Development Communications
  • Proposal Development
  • Campaign Operations

The Donor Engagement & Strategic Partnerships Summer Intern is a full-time professional reporting to the Coordinator, Donor Engagement & Strategic Partnerships and works collaboratively across the DE&SP Team and Enterprise.


EXPECTATIONS

  • Proper Documentation: Assist in organizing digital files for easy access and reference, ensuring all required documents are properly stored and organized.
  • Support Donor Engagement Planning: Assist with creating communication plans and help coordinate donor events.
  • Contribute to Impact Reporting: Support the team as we collect and analyze program data, draft sections of reports, and develop and execute the rollout plan and calendar for the 2026 academic year.
  • Provide Administrative Support: Help manage documentation, assist with scheduling, and prepare materials for team meetings and presentations.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with DE&SP teammates to support ongoing projects and initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters degree program (preferably in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Communications, or related fields).
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze and audit data effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with CRM or donor management systems is a plus.
  • Enthusiasm for nonprofit work, donor relations, and strategic partnerships
  • Perform or assist other duties as assigned.
